What is the Inquirer News Initiative?
Inquirer News Initiative (INI) is an effort of the Philippine Daily Inquirer to collaborate with local newspapers all over the Philippines and help local journalism flourish in the digital age. You can support the local paper in your hometown by subscribing to INI Inquirer Plus, which gives you access to the digital editions of the Philippine Daily Inquirer and a local newspaper of your choice.
What is Inquirer Plus?
Inquirer Plus is the digital version of the country’s top daily newspaper, Philippine Daily Inquirer. It is available as a mobile app in Google Play and App Store.
Inquirer Plus gives you a pleasant news reading experience. Its features include text size adjustment, zoom, text-to-audio, bookmarking, commenting, social media sharing, and downloading for offline reading.
What local newspapers are available in Inquirer Plus?
As of May 3, 2021, we have eight local newspapers in Inquirer Plus, namely: Bicol Mail, Edge Davao, Mindanao Goldstar Daily, Palawan News, Panay News, The Bohol Chronicle, The Ilocos Times, and The Visayan Daily Star.
How much does it cost to subscribe to Inquirer Plus?
The cost of subscription will depend on the local newspaper that you choose to bundle with Philippine Daily Inquirer. The current monthly rates range from P168 to P228 (approximately US$3.50 to US$4.75).
May I subscribe to more than one local newspaper?
Each Inquirer Plus subscription bundles Philippine Daily Inquirer with ONE local newspaper. If you would like to support more than one local newspaper, you must make separate subscriptions.
How do I pay for Inquirer Plus?
For subscriptions made via shop.inquirer.com.ph, we currently accept credit card payments only. Your card will automatically be charged every month until you cancel your subscription.

How do I access Inquirer Plus?
Subscribe to Inquirer Plus and wait for the confirmation message that will be sent to your email within three working days. The confirmation email will contain your username and password. You can access Inquirer Plus via our mobile app or our website https://inq.news/inqplusPR.

Do I need an internet connection to access issues and articles?
Yes. But once you have downloaded an issue, you will be able to view it offline as well. Downloaded issues will be stored in your device.
What time do new issues of the newspapers become available on Inquirer Plus?
The current day’s issues usually become available at 4:00 A.M, Manila time (GMT+8).
Can I use Inquirer Plus in multiple devices?
This type of Inquirer Plus subscription is only accessible in one device.
How do I cancel my Inquirer Plus subscription?
You can cancel your subscription anytime by sending a cancellation request to email@example.com. Alternatively, you can login to your Inquirer Shop account and cancel your subscription from the My Orders tab.
Note that cancelled prepaid subscriptions will not be refunded. Instead, the prepaid subscription will run until it expires and will not be renewed.
What if I want to suspend my Inquirer Plus subscription?
We highly encourage you to temporarily suspend your account if you feel the need to. You can contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org or 0908 896 6000, and we will be glad to explore other options with you.
