PAYMENT

  1. How much is the bundle?

P999.00 per month for 36 months, inclusive of a 7th Gen 32GB Wi-Fi iPad (SRP P19,990.00) and a 36-month subscription to Inquirer Plus All Access (SRP P149.00 per month)

MetroBank and BPI cardholders can pay in P999 monthly installments for 36 months. Click here to avail a  Metrobank or BPI credit card. Installment for 36 months is exclusive to Metrobank and BPI credit cardholders for now.

4. Is there a discount if I pay in cash?

5. Is there a discount if I just want to subscribe to Inquirer Plus for 1 year?

The promo is only applicable to the 3-year Inquirer Plus All-Access. A shorter period is not eligible for a discount.

6. Is this open to home credit or other payment facilities?

No

7. What if I want to pre-terminate my payment?

If a cardholder decides to pre-terminate their installment, the cardholder shall pay a pre-termination fee in the amount of the monthly charge multiplied by the number of months left in the lock-in period as stated in the terms and conditions or as may be specified at the sole discretion of the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. I have a current subscription to Inquirer Print:

a. I have a direct subscription for many years, do I get a discount if I want to avail of the bundle?

No. Availing the Inquirer Plus and Tablet Bundle promo means purchasing a new subscription. Please get in touch with us at (02)8896-6000 or 0908-896-6000 for options.

b. I’ve subscribed through a newspaper vendor for many years, do I get a discount if I want to avail of the bundle?

No. This is open only to new subscribers. Please get in touch with us at (02)8896-6000 or 0908-896-6000 for options.

2. I have a current bundled subscription (Print and Inquirer Plus), do I still need to pay for the Inquirer Plus plan if I am availing of the promo?

This promo cannot be used in conjunction with other existing promos.

3. I have a current subscription to Inquirer Plus, do I still need to pay for the Inquirer Plus plan if I am availing of the promo?

Availing the Inquirer Plus and Tablet Bundle promo means purchasing a new subscription. You need to cut your current plan and renew it for 36 months. The customer avails the promo via the site then calls PDI to terminate his/her current plan. Please get in touch with us at (02)8896-6000 or 0908-896-6000 for options.

4. Instead of Inquirer Plus, can I subscribe to the Print newspaper to be bundled with the tablet?

No, you need a separate subscription for that.

5. My residence is outside Metro Manila but I work within Metro Manila, can I avail of the bundle?

Yes.  Please refer to “Tablet Redemption” for more details.

6. My residence is outside Metro Manila. Can I still pick up my unit?

Yes.  Please refer to “Tablet Redemption” for more details.

TABLET REDEMPTION AND USE

  1. Upon payment, when can I receive my bundle?

After payment, you will receive an email with your login details to Inquirer Plus. You will receive your tablet depending on your preferred date of pick up/delivery.

2. Where is the collection point?

Can someone pick up on my behalf? 

Yes, just bring the following: confirmation email, authorization letter, a copy of your identification card, and the identification card of your representative.

We will ensure that the tablet is properly packaged but do take note that our responsibility for the gadget ends once the product is passed to the authorized representative.

3. Will I get help to configure my tablet or will I have to do it myself?

For pick up, yes, our customer care representatives shall help you configure your tablet in person.

WARRANTY, AND REPLACEMENT OF DEVICES

  1. Does the tablet come with a warranty?

Yes, it comes with a 1-year Apple Care warranty

2. How do I register for my warranty?

You will need an Apple ID and serial number. The serial number is provided in the packaging of the iPad.

3. My tablet is defective.

If your tablet was damaged during delivery, please review the policies of your chosen courier. 4. I lost my device during delivery. 

Once the product is handed off to the courier,  the customer is now considered as the one responsible for it. The courier shall sign that item: “Received in good condition.” We will provide a serial number for the product.

INQUIRER PLUS SUBCRIPTION

  1. When can I start access to my Inquirer Plus subscription?

You may start accessing Inquirer Plus within three working days after your payment. You will receive an email to activate your account.

2. What will happen after my Inquirer Plus subscription expires?

You will receive a  renewal notification before your subscription expires.

3. What if I want to cancel my Inquirer Plus subscription?

For this promo, the 36-month lock-in period will be strictly imposed. Since you can’t cancel your subscription, we suggest that you donate your Inquirer Plus access to a school or an institution that supports the welfare of children.  If you would like to donate your subscription to a school/institution, please contact  us at (02) 8896 6000 or 0908 896 6000.

4. What if I want to suspend my Inquirer Plus subscription?

You can contact PDI if you want to temporarily suspend access to your subscription, but the payment for this promo will continue for 36 months and will be strictly followed.

5. What If I want to pre-terminate my Inquirer Plus subscription plan?

Since you can’t cancel your subscription and you will still be billed for 36 months, we suggest that you donate your Inquirer Plus access to a school or an institution that supports the welfare of children.

  1. What is the Inquirer Plus?

Inquirer Plus is a digital version of the Philippine Daily Inquirer newspaper that is available via mobile app. It is the digital edition of the country’s top daily.  It is the most credible and influential news source on ePaper format.

2. What can I find at the Inquirer Plus app. Are there other articles, books or magazines?

Yes. It carries more than 70+ titles, it has Inquirer titles such as Northern Living, Southern Living, Scout, F&B Report, and Inquirer Books such as the Best Desserts and Youngblood series. It also has Asian News Network titles like Star of Malaysia and Jakarta Post.

3. Do I need an internet connection to access issues, articles, etc.?

Yes. But once you have downloaded an issue, you will be able to view it offline as well.

5. I have downloaded Inquirer Plus. Do I have to pay to read today’s issue of the Philippine Daily Inquirer?

The first 30 issues are free. After you have used up your free trial, you may continue reading the Inquirer by choosing from one of the subscription packages; if you purchased a tablet with the Inquirer Plus app, just activate your account which is bundled with the unit.

6. May I store all the downloaded issues of the Philippine Daily Inquirer on my device?

Yes, the only limit shall be the storage capacity of your device.

7. Does it have a desktop / web version?

8. How many devices are allowed to access a single Inquirer Plus account?

A maximum of 1 device is allowed for subscribers to the Inquirer Plus Basic subscription plan.

9. What time does the Philippine Daily Inquirer become available on Inquirer Plus?

Today’s issue of the Philippine Daily Inquirer usually becomes available at 4:00 A.M, Manila time (GMT+8).

10. May I share my Inquirer Plus app with my family and friends?

The All Access subscription plan allows you to use Inquirer Plus on three devices. If you are subscribed to this plan, you may share Inquirer Plus with your family and friends.

11. May I share stories that I read on Inquirer Plus on social media?

Yes, you may share stories on Facebook, Viber and Instagram.

12. What is the difference between Inquirer Plus and Inquirer.net?

Inquirer Plus is the digital version of the Philippine Daily Inquirer print edition. It also includes other print titles from newspapers, magazines, e-books, exclusive reports. Inquirer Plus has exclusive stories and content not available in the print edition and in Inquirer.net.

Inquirer.net is the online website with content from the print edition of the Philippine Daily Inquirer and reports from the Inquirer.net editorial team.

13. What is the difference between the FREE 30 issues and the paid Inquirer Plus plan?

The Free 30 access only offers issues of the digital version of the Inquirer while the paid Inquirer Plus plan provides more than 70 publications, including Philippine Daily Inquirer, Jakarta Post,Star of Malaysia, Northern Living, Southern Living, Scout, F&B Report, and Inquirer books such as the Best Desserts and Youngblood series.

14. How much does it cost to subscribe to Inquirer Plus?
